Flex-hone
type cylinder hones are used to deglaze a cylinder
when rebuilding a motor or installing new rings. When
a hone is used in conjunction with good honing oil
you will be rewarded with a surface that is free of
cut, torn and folded metal and will produce a nice
plateaued finish that will improve ring seal.
The self-aligning hones will radius the ports during
the honing process extending the ring life and preventing
rings from snagging in the ports.
The smaller hones are useful to relieve a tight piston-to-piston
pin fit You shouldn't have to pound a pin into a piston.
