Porting wax probably conjures up the image of a cylinder genius grinding away on some top secret project but porting wax is for everybody. There are many uses and applications for stick wax lubricant. Here are a few examples besides the obvious reasons... Grinding and sanding aluminum, drilling, tapping, sawing, threading. The wax keeps the cutting bits from plugging up with aluminum shavings while lubricating at the same time, wax is cheap. Tools are expensive! You figure it out.
